A to the L to the B.U.M.S

Yes, I have been listening to a little too much Fergie!

So, I get asked all the time about albums and it’s totally understandable.  It wasnt long ago when a wedding album referred to a huge black album with one 5×4 mounted in the middle of a 10×10 mat.  Things are different now…and OH SO much more interesting.

“Check it out!” (Yes, Fergie again).

Sara

This is the lovely future daughter in law of my great friend Vera.  She is so stunning and she doesnt even have a clue.

I am so happy it’s spring and the brides are starting to come out for pictures.  It’s been a long winter.

Annie

I am so impressed with this girl.  She really has all her ducks in a row.  Instead of jetting off to paradise on her senior trip she is going to Equador with a humanitarian group.   Then when it’s time for college she is going out of state, away from all security, all because she knows that life is meant to be lived and nothing changes when you dont make the sacrifices to change it.   Adventure awaits this girl and I wish her all the best.

Oh and how photogenic is this chica?

Brett & Katie

To me, one of the biggest compliments as a photographer is when someone refers their friends and family to me.  There just arent words for how good that makes me feel.  So, thank you Cami, who sent her beautiful sister Katie and fiance Brett to me.  We did some field trippin’ around downtown SLC to find these fun locations.  We had awesome luck with the weather and only got rained on a little. (O:  I am so excited to do bridals and wedding all coming up within the next several weeks.

Derek & Laura

Laura is just a natural beauty.  Her smile is so genuine.  She and Derek have been together for four years and the timing is finally perfect for them to get married.  I am so happy for both of them.

Handsome vs. Cool

Very rarely do I as a photographer have to please two clients in a single person portrait session.  BUT when it comes to seniors I do.  Mothers want CLASSIC and HANDSOME and SMILES.  Seniors want EDGY and SERIOUS and COOL.   It gets a bit tricky sometimes trying to anticipate what will make everyone happy without losing ME in the photos.  I welcome the challenge tho because it pushes me to be better.  And that is what photography is all about to me.  Here is an example:

Tyson

Seven Months

My little man is growin’ like a weed.  He will be seven months this week and he is on th move.  My house is no longer in one piece. He is crawling all over and he has 4 teeth as of this morning.  He is my biggest fan for the time being.   While I work, he stares at me until I look at him and then he beams head to toe and squeels with delight.  I am one lucky mama!
