Teagan at Nine Months

Addy

I met my new niece today.  What a sweet little peanut!

Checking Back In

I’ve got some splainin’ to do.   I had so many good intentions to blog thru my slow month but when it came down to it, my kids won.  Although my kids come first ALL YEAR round, my time does get limited when the weather gets nicer.  So with tomorrow  being the first day of March and with Spring (hopefully) just around the corner, I am re-committing myself to my blog.

Here are a few images of a super cute duo to start it all off.

Faces { 1 of 5 }

I love semi close up portraits.  I think they are my favorite.  I love how they are no nonsense.  Nothing to hide.  So this week I am going to feature a few of my new favs.

 Starting it off is sweet baby Cayden:

Baby Blue

Love when this little beauty comes to visit.  I am pretty sure I have never seen eyes quite like hers.

HOME

Every time I see a soldier I am moved to approach them and tell them how grateful I am for their service.  This has become a bit awkward considering that I live 5 miles from an army base and see up to a dozen at a time just in the produce section of the market.   For the most part I restrain myself.  So you can imagine my delight when I get a call from the creative editor of OK magazine in New York asking me if I would be willing to shoot some images for them of a wounded soldier and his family.  I nearly cried.

They had several guidelines for me to stay within so while these images may not be what I normally would shoot, I love how they turned out.  Most of all I love that these sweet children have their dad safely back at home.  See the Daily Herald write up here and see the OK magazine article in newstands nationwide now.

Lillyann

I could have photographed her all day.  So dang sweet!!

Tiffany & Her Boys

You might recognize Tiffany from my rotating banner at the top of my blog.  A few things have changed in her life since I photographed her wedding a few years back.  Check it out…

Madelyn

Lovely little Madelyn decided to give me a run for my money at her newborn shoot.  But do you know what sweet little girl?  I would do all five hours again just to get this one shot!!!
