Welcome to my photo blog! I am a mother of two, a wife and a photographer in Utah. I started in 2001 and have photographed hundreds of weddings along with just about every other type of photoshoot. I believe in making every photoshoot unique and put a lot of thought into each one. I specialize in engagement, bridal and wedding photography in Utah and anywhere else I can take my camera. Along with family, senior, children and baby photography. I hope you enjoy my site.

Warm Light

I found a bunch of pics I never posted last fall.  Better late than never I guess.  These pics make me long for warm light again.  Is it too soon to have spring fever?

Happy Feet

Dante learned to jump this week.  He gets both feet about an 1/8 of an inch off the floor at the same time.  I love it!  I find myself jumping around the house all day just so I can see him jump.  Ok, back to the trenches.  I am working on taxes this week which is beyond depressing.  I hope I make it out of my un-organized mess alive!

Chase & Jessica

I have photographer Jessica a few times now.  It was so fun to do her engagement photos.  I am looking forward to bridal photos and wedding here within the next few months.

Cooper at 6 Months

Remember Cooper?  He is welcome around my studio ANYTIME.  All I had to do was look at him and his whole body grinned.  What a sweet baby!

And then the next night…

I have somehow become…

a family photographer.  And I LOVE it.  My first few years as a photographer I did 95% weddings.  I got comfortable and was even bold enough to say that I would rather do two weddings in one day than a family portrait.  I dont feel that way anymore.  I LOVE family pictures.  One of the things that I love about them is that they are a mad house almost everytime but somehow the images dont capture it.

I have a very relaxed way of approaching the family portrait.  I tell people where to stand and slight body changes to get good angels but I rarely do more than that.  The last thing I want is for a family photo to not resemble the “feel” of the family.  I refer (in my head) to this way of posing as “perfect imperfection”.

Speaking of PERFECT, here is a sweet family that came to Utah from Canada for the holidays.  I was so happy to meet them and their very lovely children.
