a family photographer. And I LOVE it. My first few years as a photographer I did 95% weddings. I got comfortable and was even bold enough to say that I would rather do two weddings in one day than a family portrait. I dont feel that way anymore. I LOVE family pictures. One of the things that I love about them is that they are a mad house almost everytime but somehow the images dont capture it.
I have a very relaxed way of approaching the family portrait. I tell people where to stand and slight body changes to get good angels but I rarely do more than that. The last thing I want is for a family photo to not resemble the “feel” of the family. I refer (in my head) to this way of posing as “perfect imperfection”.
Speaking of PERFECT, here is a sweet family that came to Utah from Canada for the holidays. I was so happy to meet them and their very lovely children.

Wow, these are great!!! I’m from Canada and I know them so it was cool to open up the website and see them on here! What a surprise!!!
So NEAT!! I was friends with Miles growing up!! Haven’t seen him in years! Great photos!
Adorable family! Great pictures! I love your “imperfect perfection” quote! My description of my family and of my life in general is “organized chaos”.
Wow!!! What amazing photos! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first one, and the one of Shiloh and India is soooo cute. Can’t wait to see the rest. I am Rohini’s cousin, and I got to see all the potential outfit choices before the Hughes’ made their trip down south…. gotta say, they turned out great.
Love these pictures! Might be booking an appointment for family photos when we head down to visit family!
